Introduction

Jhansi is a versatile multi-media artist, with 15+ years of art experience.

Jhansi held 10+ international art shows across the USA, UK, and Asia. She was 1 amongst 8 Indians selected by London School of Contemporary School of Arts for exhibiting at the prestigious Arture Connect Show curated by Cherry Blaire Foundation.

Jhansi has won several awards including holding a place in Limca Book of Records for making India’s largest maze art of 322 Sq Feet. She has been invited to speak at several prestigious forums including TEDx, Harvard Asian International Chapter at Sydney etc.

Jhansi is skilled in various mediums like oils, acrylics, charcoal, Tanjore, palette knife, and clay sculpting. She paints on conventional & unconventional surfaces like canvas, wood, glass, apparels, and stones.

Inspiration

Jhansi’s journey began in the artistic cities of West Bengal, India where she spent her childhood. Jhansi also draws inspiration from her cultural encounters traveling to 20+ countries across Asia, Europe, and America.

From sketching Indian mythological characters to emulating old masterpieces, Jhansi’s diverse engagements taught her about the potential of combining various mediums to be able to express herself effectively.

Aspiration

Jhansi’s artistic philosophy is encapsulated in her desire to create work that stimulates both intellect and emotion. She eloquently expresses, “I am a fan of art that inspires both the left and right brain. While splashing the audience into the world of colors, I also want my work to make you think.”

Jhansi believes in democratizing art and appeals to creativity in thoughts rather than just as a mere skill. Jhansi helped raise funds for various causes like women’s health, Autism in kids and aspires to continue to do so.
